There’s something so beautiful about the delicate little Variegated Fairy-wren. Their tiny size, incredible colours and gentle presence make them such a joy to paint.

I wanted to capture one of those quiet moments where everything seems to pause — perched perfectly still, alert and ready to take flight.

A little Australian bird with a big personality.
